Okay, so Glenn Reynolds already posted this, but this is just too funny to pass up: Everyone looks spiffy with a Tux!

Nice linkpage

Just got a referral from this linkpage, which has a very nice lay-out: a map of Europe, with links to blogs and newspapers in each country. And guess who's smack dab in the middle of it all? Yup...

The End of the Fortuyn Heritage?

Exit polls in the Dutch elections show a strong loss for the L.P.F. party, says Dutch TV and this Reuters article. The numbers so far show a strong comeback for the social-democratic party, while the christian-democrats seem to be keeping their seats.
Mathematically, the current coalition (including the losing L.P.F.) could remain in power, but a christian-democrat/social-democrat coalition would have more seats.
Weird that nobody seems to be blogging this, actually...

Yet Another Personality Test

But this time, it's about your support for the war with Iraq! Not surprisingly, I rated as a Warmonger/Patriot Hawk (the score table has righty and lefty epithets for all categories, i.e. the opposite of me would be an Idiotarian/Peace Warrior).

Tacitus has a lengthy post complaining that the anti-war movement in the U.S. has been thoroughly infiltrated by A.N.S.W.E.R. an extreme-left organisation and front for a small communist party, and that it is such a shame that such apologists for other brutal regimes are now organizing seemingly all the peace demonstrations.
Well, I don't know about the rest of Europe, but here in Belgium we see the same thing: STOPUSA, the local version of A.N.S.W.E.R. is also largely made up of P.V.D.A. (a small Maoïst party) sympathizers and members, combined with A.E.L. people (Arab-European League, basically Arafat and Saddam supporters).
The sad thing is, many people attend their demonstrations and marches without realizing the true agenda of these organisations. But since not many other groups rise to the call and set up their own events, they largely have an open playing field.

Interesting Twist on 'Twisting' Ritter

Remember Scott Ritter, the ex-UN inspector in Iraq, first saying that Saddam was developing all kinds of nasty stuff and not cooperating with inspections, and afterwards twisting his story, claiming Saddam was a peace-loving nice guy with nothing to hide?
Well, according to Little Green Footbals, Scott Ritter might be a pedophile! Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Saddam knew this and was actively blackmailing him. Kind of makes one wonder what Saddam has on the German and French governments...

Great photo

Check out the photo that goes with this CNN story on president Bush's Martin Luther King day speech. Great propaganda material for our Islamic and lefty friends, I'd say...

More Info on Hamza

Here's some more info from CNN on this Hamza guy... not a nice fellow at all.

Taking Care of the Fifth Column?

Might the recent raid on Finsbury Park mosque be part of the war preparations? The raided mosque is home of Sheikh Abu Hamza, a muslim cleric said to be involved in less savoury dealings. So far, the U.K. police claimed the raid was connected to the recent ricin-case in London. But the mosque apparently also acted as a distributor of Islamist propaganda, and possibly even recruited jehadi's for 'good causes'...
Better to mop them up now, than wait until the invasion of Iraq is underway...
